Food Never Fails

July 31, 2020

When talking with people, there’s a chance that they have really good conversation skills. Other times, they don’t. Mine aren’t stellar, but I’ve learned one thing. If 10-15 seconds of silence go by, say something like, “What’s your favorite food?”, it never fails.

And it doesn’t have to stop there. Everybody eats, and most people have been doing it almost every day for their whole life. Here are a few more food questions:

  1. What’s your favorite candy?
  2. What foods don’t you like?
  3. Sugary or savory?
  4. What’s your favorite vegetable?
  5. Do you like spicy food? Which ones?
  6. Do you like any weird combinations?
  7. Have you ever smelled dog food? I love that smell. Do you like the smell of dog food?
  8. Are there textures/consistencies that you like/don’t like?
  9. You can only eat one food for the rest of your life, what is it?
  10. Can a like for a certain food that you don’t like be learned?
  11. Have your taste buds changed throughout your life?
  12. What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
  13. Who’s the best cook you’ve had the opportunity to know and what was that like?

Yin and Yang formation of both chocolate and peanut butter cereal pieces in a bowl during a cereal party

Chocolate cereal mixed with peanut butter cereal during a cereal party. My roommate in college taught me about cereal parties. You can have a cereal party RIGHT NOW if you want. All you need is cereal.
